As a licensed architect, I have spent much of my life observing how people experience the world through space, light, material, and form. Art gives me another way to explore that world—one that is more immediate, personal, and expressive.

I primarily work in ink and watercolor, using line, color, light, and shadow to capture the character of a place. I am drawn to the quiet relationships between balance, scale, proportion, and architectural expression, and I use these elements to create images that tell a story about the places and moments that inspire me.

Much of my work is created plein air, because being physically present in a place is important to my process. I want to experience the changing light, atmosphere, sounds, and details firsthand rather than simply interpret a photograph. Working on location allows the unexpected to become part of the artwork and gives each piece a sense of place and personal connection.

My art exists at the intersection of architecture and observation—an ongoing exploration of the built and natural environments around me, and the stories they have to tell.
